Welcome

My name is Shane Garrett. I am an independent software developer and consultant based on the North Coast of NSW, Australia.

I specialize in the integration of software applications, business process management, office automation, and web application development.

Over the past 30 years or so I have experienced just about everything from operating a sugarcane harvester through to managing a software research and development team in Denver, Colorado. I gained approx 10 years experience in the manufacturing industry running a small engineering company building farm machinery and designing and building specialized one-off machinery. The past 20 years has seen me work my way through the computer software industry, working with CAD systems, document management systems, custom applications, and web applications.

I am proud to say that several applications that I have created over the years are still in use today after more than a decade of use.
